The Brattleboro Retreat is a regional mental health and addictions treatment center in Brattleboro, Vermont. As with many not-for-profits, payroll and personnel costs represent the lion’s share of The Brattleboro Retreat’s total expenses. Budgeting for 500 employees that work full-time and part-time, salaried and per diem, five or seven days a week, was too complicated to manage effectively in multiple Microsoft Excel spreadsheets.
