BlackHawk Products Group was growing quickly selling via government and
consumer channels--until its customer service faltered. Because the
250-employee company operated on several IT platforms, order takers
couldn't immediately determine production schedules, so orders were
needlessly delayed. Company officials decided the company needed to
operate under a single IT platform, and evaluated systems from SAP, Sage,
Oracle, and Microsoft Dynamics AX. Here is the story of how it evaluated
different systems and finally made its decision.
